The Town of Yarmouth Conservation Commission on May 7 agreed to accept a request to add a 22-by-8-foot addition at 96 South Shore Drive, but held the formal Negative 2 determination until the applicant files a corrected lot-coverage plan.
Laura Veil Santos, the applicant, told the commission she proposed “a 22 by 8 feet” addition and described the work as an infill over an existing brick patio. Members noted that a recent Zoning Board of Appeals review flagged an incorrect lot‑coverage calculation on the plan. The commission’s staff said they will wait for an updated plan before finalizing the Negative 2 determination.
Commissioner discussion was limited and no public comment was offered. A motion to accept the application pending the revised plan — with the Negative 2 determination recorded as the commission’s approval rationale — was moved, seconded and carried by voice vote.
The commission asked the applicant’s engineer to submit the corrected plan and said the office will not issue the determination until it receives it. Staff also indicated they will follow up with the applicant to confirm next steps and timing.
