Board honors Franklin High School junior varsity pompon team as Division 1 state champions

Trustee Karen Bradford moved the resolution, supported by Trustee Mark Johnson. The board read a formal resolution commending the team’s season achievements, and presented a Certificate of Achievement signed by Superintendent Oakquist and Board President Colleen Burton.
Haley Petrovich, head varsity coach at Franklin and a district teacher, addressed the board to thank administrators, coaches, parents and the community. She described the JV program as a family and praised the program’s growth and the players’ resilience. Trustees offered congratulations and noted the team’s consistent success at state competitions.
The resolution was adopted by unanimous roll-call vote.
