Lewisville council approves 2026 audit contract; announces committee appointments

Finance Officer Pam Oral presented the audit contract with a base price of $22,670 and noted that, if the town requires single‑audit work for federal or state programs, the firm would charge $4,000 per program (up to two programs were possible), bringing the guaranteed maximum to $30,670. Council Member Suzanne Newsome moved to approve Resolution 2026‑010 to award the audit contract; Council Member Jerry Gallagher seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Earlier in the meeting the clerk distributed ballots for appointments to the zoning board of adjustments, planning board, Willow Run Municipal Service District, parks and recreation advisory committee, Lewisville Beautification Committee, and the environmental conservation and sustainability committee. After ballots were collected and counted the clerk announced appointees for each board and said staff would notify both successful applicants and those not selected.
Appointees named by the clerk included (selected examples announced at meeting): Hunt, Stanford, Revas and Daniel to the zoning board of adjustments; Harold and Lewis to the planning board; and multiple appointments to parks, beautification and environmental committees. The clerk said she would reach out to each appointee to confirm service and invite them to April committee meetings.
