Vanderpool said the facility's starting budget for FY 25-26 was approximately $2.25 million and noted revenue variability tied to state reimbursements and contract bed days (including U.S. Marshals work). She said the center is licensed for 15 beds, staffs for up to 25 and returns surplus funds to member counties after capital-account decisions.
Supervisors asked about audit billing and fiscal-agent fees; Vanderpool said the fiscal agent receives a 1% fee for services and counties are billed their share for audit costs. The board did not take formal action but indicated support for the regional agreement and said the county's representative (Jeff) may sign at the detention board meeting after the county's questions were answered.
