Members emphasized nonconfrontational education for food vendors and attendees: staff recommended posters and visual aids showing where different items should be disposed, and one member suggested gamifying the outreach (prize stickers or utensil kits) to encourage bring-your-own containers and plant-based meal choices.
The committee agreed to coordinate printed materials, recruit volunteers via a sign-up sheet, and to ask staff to liaise with Parks & Rec and Off the Grid organizers about power and vendor expectations.
