Alongside several headline items, Town Meeting approved a bundle of finance and housekeeping articles that together adjust municipal capital priorities, enterprise budgets, and reserve balances.
Key actions approved by voice vote or standing vote included transfers and appropriations for: an ambulance fund transfer of $70,000; the sewer ($1,845,320), water ($2,318,857) and stormwater ($810,944) enterprise budgets; capital items funded from free cash totaling $684,935 (including Veteran Memorial building paving and flooring, school technology and a police command vehicle); a 3‑year banked transfer to Tri‑County regional school debt of $1,070,000; a police cruiser lease purchase authorization ($76,854); PFAS remediation special revenue account funding; rescission of unused borrowing for the Deangelis Well; transfers to the unemployment insurance fund ($42,163.98), injured leave indemnity fund ($100,000), compensated absences reserve ($100,000), OPEB trust ($50,000) and the stabilization fund ($125,000).
Finance Committee recommendations were unanimous (9–0) on many items. Several of these articles required only a simple majority and were approved by voice; others required higher thresholds (for example, the water meter borrowing required two‑thirds). The motions and their intended uses are recorded in the Finance Committee report and the warrant; voters adopted the measures to finalize FY27 operational and capital financing for the town.
