The Bangor School Board accepted the resignation of building custodian Patty Kudson, effective Feb. 16, 2026, and approved two hires to fill district needs.
Administration said Kudson had worked as a substitute and more recently in a near-full-time role during the school year; staffing adjustments and applicants exist to cover custodial duties through the end of the year. The board approved Kudson's resignation on a motion by Jessica.
For staffing, administrators described a competitive search for a middle-school math teacher (11 applicants; six interviewed) and recommended Lance Letner based on a strong interview and demonstration lesson. The board approved Letner's hire for the 2026–27 school year.
Administration also recommended Sue Adams for a combined district iPad coordinator and interventionist role; Adams was described as a reading specialist with experience integrating iPads into instruction and a plan for district social-media representation. The board approved Adams' hire.
All personnel motions carried with the board recording one opposing vote in the meeting record on various items.
