Proposed improvements include ADA‑compliant curb ramps connecting sidewalks at intersections near Chino High School and Allegiant STEAM Academy; staff noted construction funding will be pursued once design is completed.
A public commenter raised concerns that isolated curb ramps do not create a fully accessible route without continuous sidewalks; the commenter recommended pursuing complete connectivity as the project advances. Council members approved the resolution accepting the grant and establishing the project (vote recorded as 4 yes, 1 absent). Staff will procure a design consultant and return with construction cost estimates and potential additional funding opportunities.
