She reported that 96% of eligible customers across the service territory have remained enrolled and noted more than 80 Imperial Beach homes and businesses have chosen Power 100.
Burns also described program offerings including a solar+battery rebate program (now fully implemented after a 2024 pilot), load‑shifting incentives, and 10 new countywide energy‑efficiency programs to be delivered through the San Diego Regional Energy Network (SDREN). Councilmembers asked for a future detailed presentation on the SDREN programs, clarifications about the PCIA (Power Charge Indifference Adjustment) and its multi‑year contract causes, and whether Community Power could provide real‑time bill projection tools and power‑use assessments (for example, for air‑filter/purifier electricity use).
Burns told the council that Community Power aims for 100% clean and renewable power for member agencies by 2035 and highlighted ongoing customer outreach, pilot incentives and workforce development plans associated with the REN rollout.
