Staff said the planned three‑year contract would be approximately $219,700 per year and would be funded through the district’s 31a at‑risk grant (31a funds), which they said would cover roughly 3% of the grant allocation annually.
Trustees asked about training, rollout timing, data security and whether other Michigan districts had implemented Panorama; staff said other nearby districts use the platform, that data migration would begin quickly if the board approved, and that IT had reviewed security controls.
Trustees also raised questions about who would be trained first (administrators and teacher leaders), ongoing vendor support and whether the platform could help district equity work by maintaining up‑to‑date lists of students who meet multiple risk criteria. Panorama staff described built‑in stakeholder benchmarks and AI‑assisted reporting features and said granted funding covered the purchase for three years.
