The Ogden‑Leighton Technical Advisory Committee voted to adopt staff recommendations to program regional transportation funds across STP, TAP, CMAC and CRP programs, after staff laid out project evaluations and recommended funding amounts.
Ben reviewed a staff‑prioritized STP/CMAC slate intended to use roughly $17.5 million of available programming. Staff suggested programming funds to several projects, including Clinton City’s 2300 North reconstruction (staff recommendation $2.5 million), Centerville’s Parish Lane reconstruction ($1.25 million), West Point widening projects (one entry recommended $2.1 million and another intersection allocation $1.5 million), Leighton Parkway extension (staff recommended $2.5 million), Ogden Second Street phase 2 (staff recommended $4.0 million), and Far West 3300 North phase 2 (staff recommended $4.0 million). Staff noted the suggested allocations were roughly $500,000 more than the current available balance and expected that de‑obligations or savings would cover the gap.
The committee also approved two TAP projects in full: North Salt Lake’s Cutler Drive sidewalk (~$790,000 request) and Ogden’s SR‑39 shared‑use path phase 2 (~$488,000 request). Members approved shifting the Ogden bike‑share redistribution vehicle ($93,230) from CMAC to TAP funding so the project could be fully funded under TAP. For CMAC and CRP, staff recommended partial CMAC allocations to several large requests (for example, $2 million CMAC toward the Clearfield pedestrian bridge) while directing some operational and vanpool requests to CRP; the committee approved the staff recommendations and the CRP allocations by motion and voice vote.
Most approvals were made by voice vote; the transcript records motions and seconds but does not contain roll‑call tallies. Staff will finalize TIP and program documents and proceed with next programming steps ahead of regional transcom and council reviews.
