Ben said the project originally carried $85,000 in programming but now requires more funding; “the request is for an additional 150,000,” he said, and local sponsors will contribute just under $11,000 for a total estimated cost of about $252,000.
Committee member Brook Stewart moved to approve the CMAC board modification and Ashley seconded; the motion was approved by voice vote with no recorded opposition. Ben and staff noted the flashing pedestrian beacon and related crossing work will better protect people crossing the roadway and tie into the ongoing trail improvements in the area.
The committee’s approval amends the TIP to increase the programmed CMAC allocation for the Willard/Boxelder crossing project; staff will reflect the change in the TIP documents and proceed with project programming and delivery steps.
