Tecumseh Public Schools Board of Education members approved a package of routine items at their meeting, including the 2026–27 district calendar, schools-of-choice application windows and the superintendent's employment contract, and accepted a $200 donation to the high school robotics team.
Trustee Martinez moved to adopt the 2026–27 calendar as presented; the motion passed by roll call. The board next approved the district's schools-of-choice application procedures and enrollment windows by roll call. The board accepted a $200 donation from Bruce and Michelle Gford to support the Tecumseh High School robotics program.
On the superintendent's employment contract, the board approved a technical correction to the contract's start date so the agreement begins July 1 of the coming year; no other contract terms were changed. The motion authorized the board president to execute the contract. The contract passed on a roll-call vote with six trustees voting in favor and one trustee voting no (Trustee Miller).
The meeting also approved the consent agenda, which included minutes from the Jan. 26 and Feb. 23, 2026 board meetings, and voted to enter a closed session to discuss strategy and negotiation of a collective bargaining agreement.
