Sanitary board approves Resolution 2026-02, raising sewer-line affidavit fee to $250

The Board of Sanitary Commissioner voted on April 1 to approve Resolution 2026-02, which raises the affidavit inspection fee for lateral sewer-line inspections from $200 to $250.

The presiding officer introduced the resolution and explained the affidavit process is available to any district customer who requests an inspection of a lateral line; customers pay the fee and, if the problem is found to be the districts responsibility, the fee is refunded as a bill credit. "Were increasing the cost for our affidavit process from $200 to $250," the presiding officer said.

Mr. Noble, a district staff member, clarified that the inspection "does require an outside cleanout," which is needed for the district to access the lateral for inspection. With no commissioner questions, a motion and a second were called, and the board approved Resolution 2026-02 by voice vote.
