At the end of its regular business on May 6 the Taos Municipal Schools board voted to enter executive session. The board cited NMSA §10‑15‑1(H)(8) to discuss requests from UNM Taos and Vista Grande Charter School regarding potential acquisition of district real property and identified two pending or threatened litigation matters (Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2) to be considered under NMSA §10‑15‑1(H)(7).
Board members indicated representatives from UNM Taos would be invited into the closed session to present on the property requests and then excused so the board could continue a private discussion with legal counsel. The public meeting recessed and participants attending online were told the meeting would be restarted after executive session concluded.
