The Carpinteria Unified School District Board of Education on July 8 adopted an update to bylaw 9320 (meetings and notices) and approved a package of classroom and technology purchases, plus a $30,000 grant to build an early-learning outdoor TK classroom at Aliso.
On second reading the board approved the updated bylaw 9320, which staff said clarifies when a board meeting exists and how notices are handled. The motion to adopt was moved and seconded on the record and the board voted to approve the change.
In education business, the board approved a one-year pilot of CommonLit 360 for Carpinteria High School and Carpinteria Middle School.…
