Staff described upcoming construction for the Green Belt Landing project that will require a one-lane closure on 114th Street to install a storm sewer, with temporary night signals and one lane maintained at all times; public-works traffic counts showed northbound volumes over roughly 4,700 cars per day during detours. The chief reported a regional law-enforcement work group drafting a model ordinance on e-bikes and scooters with an emphasis on education and school partnerships and said a local proposal could be ready by year-end.
Council members asked clarifying questions but took no formal action; staff indicated they would return with more detailed materials on DART and enforcement options at future meetings.
