Decorah approves ISG professional services contract to complete Athletic Complex phase 2

City staff and ISG recommended a prefabricated building to reduce design costs and accelerate delivery so the structure can be set and connected with utilities during the coming construction season.
"Prefab is more cost‑efficient on a square‑foot basis and will result in faster delivery," staff said when explaining the preference. Councilmembers asked for clarifications on building size and restroom stall counts to ensure capacity for peak use and tournament days; staff noted porta‑potty use remains an option for extraordinary events.
A motion to accept the ISG proposal passed by unanimous roll‑call vote. The contract award directs staff to proceed with the ISG design and bidding process and to return to council with bid results and recommendations for award of construction contracts.
