Trustees ask for comparable 3‑year proposals for Cranberry Lake stewardship

Trustees discussed treatment effectiveness, reporting practices and local responsiveness.
Trustees noted that ILM was recently acquired by an east‑coast firm and asked whether that would affect responsiveness and long-term pricing. Village staff and trustees described effective results from drone herbiciding used by a local contractor (Dave) on phragmites and other invasives, and they requested clearer, comparable cost breakdowns.
The board asked both ILM and Ubanx to prepare comparable three‑year proposals and to indicate whether multi‑year discounts are available so trustees can evaluate a like‑for‑like comparison. Trustees also discussed which ponds and wetlands in the village might be included in a stewardship program and the potential budget impacts on the SSA and general funds.
