Board members were told the district will work through which alternates to accept based on the final validated bids and the district's budget. The presenter said the low‑bid results indicate strong competition and that several contracts received about eight bidders each.
In light of construction matters, the board announced a special meeting on March 30, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the Pride Room to address construction decisions. The meeting also recorded a voice vote approving the consent agenda and later approved construction agenda items on a voice vote.
The board did not, during the meeting, adopt final contract awards for the elementary project; staff recommended the district review alternates and validate low bids before returning with contract approvals for board action.
