The Rockford Public School District Board of Education approved several personnel, contract and planning items at its regular meeting.

Contracts and renewals: The board approved a one-year renewal of the districts food-service contract for fiscal year 2025; administrators said the renewal will be followed by an RFP next year as required by law. Plans and policies: The district operational plan for 2024-25 was approved; board members asked that completed tasks include dates when updated and that midyear and year-end progress reports be posted. The Q Comp plan (teacher leadership and PLC structures) was also approved after clarifying statutory differences between approving the plan versus acknowledging an annual report.
