At its March 12 meeting, the North Harrison Community School Corporation board approved routine consent items and several personnel and operational actions by unanimous votes.
The board approved minutes from prior meetings, claim numbers 45740–45947 (staff noted a Dunham Associates invoice of roughly $73,000 for 2025 medical claims), regular payrolls for April 10, April 24 and May 8, 2026, and the bank reconciliation for Feb. 28, 2026.
The board authorized advertising bus 37 and bus 87 as surplus. Staff said both buses are about 20 years old; one needs a turbo repair estimated at $3,000–$4,000 and the other has been cannibalized for parts and has nonworking gauges.
The board also approved a resolution to add the business manager title to the list of positions eligible for the Indiana Public Retirement System so incoming business manager Jamie Smith could continue enrollment consistent with his prior service. Members said the title change is an administrative step to match state retirement records.
A late item approved a recycling contract with a vendor identified as Greenway (Indianapolis) to collect and pay the district for electronic waste by weight. The board appointed Chris Allen as the middle school golf coach for the 2025–26 year.
All motions recorded at the meeting carried by unanimous voice vote (5-0).
