The board approved an election plan that would take effect only if a neighboring Union School Corporation dissolution occurs. The plan, as presented, would reallocate seats so that future representation includes members from Green Township, Stoney Creek Township, the Parker City area, the Farmland area and transition an at‑large seat to Union Township if dissolution proceeds.
Administrators told the board the plan must be published for 120 days to give taxpayers opportunity to review and potentially oppose it; if no challenge is filed it will be submitted to the Indiana Department of Education and the clerk’s office later in the year. The board approved the reorganization resolution 5–0.
Board members said the reorganization work had incorporated feedback and that timing and contingencies were included so the plan could be adjusted if appeals or legal steps change the outcome.
