Enterprise City Schools adopts Purple Star resolution and designates April 15 as Purple Up Day

The Enterprise City Board of Education voted to approve a resolution supporting the Military Families Purple Star Program at its March 31, 2026 meeting and proclaimed April as the Month of the Military Child.
Assistant Superintendent Dr. Kaine asked Jennifer Nelson (MSC) and Kim Koselle, the district’s military family liaison with Fort Rucker, to stand and be recognized for their work supporting military-connected students and families. Dr. Kaine said the two staff "do an amazing job helping our military connected families and students that are PCSing both into Enterprise as well as out of Enterprise." The board also designated April 15 as Purple Up Day and said schools and district staff will wear purple and host activities to acknowledge military-connected students; the district plans to coordinate lighting at Enterprise High School and community acknowledgments.
The resolution passed by voice vote during the meeting and the board noted collaboration with city partners for recognition events.
