Enterprise City Board approves contracts, a salary-schedule update and textbook adoptions

At its March 31, 2026 meeting, the Enterprise City Board of Education approved a slate of routine business items including contract renewals for three principals, an update to the 2025–2026 salary schedule, textbook adoptions and a series of consent-agenda procurement items.

Board members approved principal contract renewals and then considered a salary-schedule update that adds a building-based mathematics coach after the district received state funding for the position. Assistant Superintendent Dr. Kaine explained, "we are now going to receive funding for that position," and the board approved the change by voice vote.

The board also approved the district’s state-approved social studies and arts-adoption list and authorized specific textbook purchase quotes from the approved vendors. Members discussed how adoptions typically occur every five years and whether the district purchases paper, online or mixed packages; Dr. Kaine said the state supplies approved options and the district chooses formats locally.

Other consent items approved included several maintenance quotes, a technology renewal to block unauthorized devices from the district network, in-state and out-of-state trip requests and inflatable-rental requests. The board approved personnel action items covering transfers, retirements, resignations and new employments. Where motions and approvals were offered, items were adopted by voice/raised-hand votes; no roll-call tallies were recorded in the meeting transcript.

The meeting packet noted that state funding is covering the newly added math-coach line and that hiring up to five retirees as teacher mentors for 2025–2026 will likewise be supported by state funds, described in the packet as producing "no direct cost to our school system."
