A student leader who identified themself as Zer spoke to the board about March’s school theme, "positive performance is coping," describing healthy coping strategies—movement, deep breathing, talking to adults, drawing and calming techniques—and introduced a book-fair activity with a door-hanger game and chocolate-coin prizes purchased by student leaders.
The board moved to accept a list of donations (the packet identified many donations for the upcoming book fair) and approved accepting all donations as listed by roll-call vote; Directors Dupong, Piston, Munter, Nelson and Bosler were recorded as voting yes. The elementary principal reported elementary enrollment at 338 (PreK–6) and described the March 23–27 book fair and test-monitoring certification requirements for MCA testing. The high school principal (identified as Mr. Jarski during the meeting) reported high school enrollment at 255, noted FFA students' recognition at the state senate, reviewed a recent medical-emergency response and previewed student mental health activities and FastBridge interventions.
Board members thanked the student presenter, asked clarifying questions about the book fair and testing schedule, and acknowledged donors. The meeting proceeded to personnel and policy items later on the agenda.
