The board member said wireless microphone packs are limited in number and that the district's system is more than 20 years old, making it difficult for performers with smaller roles to be heard. She urged the board to place replacement of microphones and additional packs on the district's facilities radar.
On the announcer booth the same board member reported visible deterioration and possible mold and said the structure could become a liability if not addressed. Facilities staffer Jeremy told the board he is gathering replacement pricing and warned that there appears to be only one primary vendor for booth construction and that costs could be high.
Board members agreed the items should be tracked for budgeting and follow‑up, and the chair noted the annual April work session will include staffing and budget discussions where facilities costs could be considered.
