School leaders stressed they want to preserve Area 31 access while improving on-time arrival districtwide. Board members asked about custodial scheduling, student supervision while waiting, and the effect on families; administrators said a custodian would open vestibules at about 6:40 a.m. for northern pickup sites and that afternoon logistics would bring students back to the high school for second-half programming.
No vote was required—the board directed staff to continue planning and to report back on implementation details and expected impacts on route timeliness.
