West Delaware FFA students brief board on competitions, community service and fundraisers

Highlights included student participation at state and national events, a fruit-sale fundraiser that raised $27,335 in sales and a meal-packaging fundraiser that sold 156 meals and generated $2,145 for the chapter. The students described farm-safety programming for elementary students and recognition of members maintaining a 3.5 GPA.
Board members thanked the students and asked about selection processes and favorite activities; both students said Farm Safety Day was a favorite because it allowed them to teach younger students practical safety skills. The board applauded the chapter’s community engagement and fundraising success.
