The Beach Haven Joint Land Use Board opened its Jan. 5 meeting with the reorganization portion and administered oaths of office to returning and newly introduced members. Attorney Eric Rizzo administered oaths and the board conducted a roll call before taking nominations for officers.
Bonnie Leonard was nominated and approved to continue as chair by voice vote. Gerard Jenna was nominated and approved as vice chair; both officers were sworn in during the meeting. Leonard told the board she has served for several years and indicated a willingness to finish her term as a member while stepping down from the chair role at some point during 2026.
During the consent agenda, the board approved annual housekeeping resolutions, including appointing Mary Claire Brun as board secretary, reappointing Eric Rizzo as board attorney and naming Frank Little as board engineer and planner. The board also adopted guidelines for electronic communications and agreed to follow Roberts Rules of Order for its proceedings.
The reorganizational votes were handled as routine consent items and carried by voice vote; roll call later recorded attendance for the meeting.
