The Oyster River board voted Dec. 3 to approve a negotiated agreement with ORPASS — the bargaining unit that represents PAR professionals and school nutrition workers — for a three-year term covering 2026 through 2029.
Administrators and board members described the negotiations with ORPASS and their regional representative, Terry Donovan, as positive and productive. The superintendent thanked the board negotiation subcommittee and said the contract recognized the essential role of PAR educators and nutrition staff in daily school operations.
The motion to approve the agreement was made, seconded and carried by voice vote: six board members in favor and the student representative also in favor; no members opposed. Board members expressed appreciation for the bargaining unit’s work and the constructive negotiation process.
The ORPASS ratification will appear on the warrant for voter ratification as part of the upcoming ballot articles.
