The Franklin Township Planning Board agreed to form a four-member ordinance subcommittee to provide an early review of draft ordinances related to the master plan.
Chairman Orsini proposed the group as a first-look committee so drafters can get feedback before items return to the full board. He said the subcommittee could work primarily by email and hold brief Zoom or Teams calls if needed. "It would be great to have a four-person ordinance subcommittee that could meet and basically he could provide his draft ordinances and this committee would have a first look," the chairman said.
Volunteers identified at the meeting were Jennifer Ragnau, Charles Brown, Mark Dancy and Sammy Siobhan. The chairman said he may call a short Zoom meeting if required but expected most review to be handled by email.
The subcommittee will review proposed ordinance language and send suggested edits back to the author before the items return to the full planning board for discussion and any formal action.
