Sponsors said the change updates local definitions and administrative procedures to match state requirements and reduces the risk of conflict between borough code and state housing rules. The ordinance replaces the existing chapter and redirects applicable references to the State's uniform affordability controls.
The council did not specify an effective date during the meeting; the borough clerk will publish the final ordinance and notify the public of any administrative next steps.
