The Monroe Township Zoning Board on March 31 approved a one-year extension of previously granted preliminary and final site-plan and bulk-variance approvals for Wateride Monroe Realy LLC, extending protections against zoning changes to March 26, 2027.
Rhino Sullivan of the law firm Fox Roychild spoke for the applicant and said Wateride Monroe Realy has obtained all ancillary approvals except a pending municipal utilities authority (MUA) approval; once that approval is issued, the applicant plans a comprehensive resubmission to satisfy outstanding conditions. Sullivan asked the board to grant the standard one-year extension under the Municipal Land Use Law (MLUL).
Board members asked brief procedural questions about the length of the extension and a clerical date error on the applicant's letter; Sullivan indicated the one-year term is the MLUL standard and agreed to correct the date. The board then moved, seconded and voted by roll call to approve the extension. The roll call in the record shows Mr. Masters, Mr. Lupo, Mr. Busman, Miss Carritori, Mr. Tanzy, Mr. Jaffy and Chairman Lada voting yes.
The board also approved a drafted resolution memorializing the extension, which the board attorney offered to prepare in advance because the action was ministerial. The resolution was then approved by roll call.
