The department outlined completed facility improvements — new gym floors at the middle school and high school, wrestling lighting upgrades, new warning tracks at baseball and softball fields, and improved equipment storage — and listed planned spring projects including varsity baseball field enhancements, safety netting for the new varsity boys lacrosse field and relocation of a scoreboard for shared use.
The director emphasized that participation fees help offset athletic costs, including a portion of facility improvements, and said the district saw strong compliance with participation-fee collection during the season. The presentation also noted positive parent-survey feedback on athlete safety, enjoyment and coach expectations.
School leaders and board members acknowledged the work required by coaches and staff during the merger year and congratulated winter and fall teams on their records.
