Shawaker described Wilson’s orchestra, athletics and leadership programs, the Link program for incoming freshmen, a recent dodgeball tournament with 37 teams and a planned prom on May 16. He said the school is beginning a centennial effort to raise $200,000 for scholarships and field improvements intended to provide 25 scholarships for students between 2027 and 2030.
Board members said the landing page and planned outreach will include dates and interviews from the district’s leadership associates and that more details will be posted in coming days. The board did not take action on the search at the meeting but said stakeholders will have multiple opportunities to participate before a formal decision is made.
