The board approved several contract and quote awards at the meeting: execution of a contract for Bridge 70 replacement with Duncan Robertson (contract amount read in the meeting as a not-to-exceed figure), approval of sign-and-barricade rental for the annual road program (low quote read as $54,587), and acceptance of three guard-rail repair quotes for County Road 200 North and two bridges (low-quote amounts read during the meeting). Commissioners also approved the BFNS master services agreement update (an update to a 2017 agreement) and approved an amendment to BFNS Task Order 59 to provide right-of-way oversight for fiber installation in Royal Run subdivision after AT&T began work without approved permits; that oversight amendment increased the task amount to a not-to-exceed $103,400 as read in the meeting and staff said project expenses will be reimbursed by the responsible party.
Terry Larson and other highway staff presented the contracts and explained the need for oversight and repair work. Commissioners moved and voted to approve the listed contracts and amendments. Several dollar figures were read aloud in the meeting and the transcript includes transcription ambiguity on some amounts; the board asked staff to document exact contract totals and post the executed contracts in procurement files.
