Public Utilities Regulatory Authority panel adopts five final dockets, names presiding officer

A remote panel of the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority unanimously adopted five final dockets and designated a presiding officer for a consent-item appointment during its April 1, 2026 meeting.

Interim Chairman Tom Wheel opened the session and identified the panel members as Vice Chairman David Aranti and Interim Commissioners Jan Beecher, Holly Cheeseman and Everett Smith. Chair Wheel said the meeting would proceed by remote teleconference and laid out the agenda, which included Part A for consideration of five final decisions.

A commissioner moved to adopt items one through five on Part A of the agenda; another participant seconded the motion. Mr. Bumpin then called the roll. The panel recorded unanimous "yes" votes from Chairman Tom Wheel, Vice Chairman David Aranti and Interim Commissioners Jan Beecher, Holly Cheeseman and Everett Smith, and the decisions in items one through five of Part A were adopted.

The panel then moved to Part B, the consent calendar, which contained a single appointment item: designation of a presiding officer for the listed item. A motion to consider the proposed presiding officer was moved and seconded. Mr. Bumpin conducted a second roll call; the same five panel members each answered "yes," and the presiding officer was designated.

Chair Wheel announced the meeting adjournment and said the panel would reconvene on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. via remote teleconference.
