Officials said the package would increase FY27 costs by about $1.7 million as presented and that some contract types have differing start dates; the discussion included reference to an October start date for portions of the change.
Board members asked for supporting documentation and confirmation that funding is available; speakers noted the district’s current fund balance and capital-project transfers as part of the financial picture and said final state budget numbers remain pending. After discussion, the board approved the salary-schedule updates unanimously.
