Seaman USD 345 honors girls bowling state champions; Northern Hills teacher presents kindness project

The Seaman USD 345 School Board opened its meeting by recognizing the Seaman girls bowling team and coaches. Mr. Brown introduced coach Bob Anoy and assistant coach Jason Price and presented the team members. Anoy described the season — including a regional comeback using Baker format games, an invitation to the Flint Hills Invitational where the team finished fourth (the only 5A school in the top 10), and a state championship win where the team prevailed by 358 pins. He also noted the performance included one of the highest series in 5A history.

Later in the meeting, Mia Wiler, a sixth‑grade English language arts teacher at Northern Hills, presented a schoolwide kindness project called "In Nobody Told You." Wiler described how students create hand-cut messages to post outside classrooms with brief positive reminders (examples: "you are enough," "you are wanted"). She invited board members to trace and submit hand cutouts and said the students would appreciate the board’s participation.

The recognitions were ceremonial; no board action was required.
