Commissioners question surplus listing after EMA vehicle sale

The commissioner said the GovDeals page and the packet information did not match and asked the department to explain the discrepancy.

Several commissioners said the differing descriptions raised concerns about transparency and procurement. One commissioner urged that surplus listings on GovDeals be accurate to avoid misrepresentation to buyers and to the commission. The item remains a point of follow-up with the relevant department; commissioners asked that staff provide an explanation of the vehicle's condition and the process used to declare and dispose of surplus county property.
