Sheriff Jones introduced newly sworn Deputy Troy Wells and described the department’s practice of hiring locally and sending recruits through the state training academy. Commissioners thanked sheriff’s staff for the report and voted unanimously to accept the 2025 racial profiling report as presented.
The court recorded no policy action beyond acceptance of the report and the ceremonial introduction of the deputy; Sheriff said staff will continue to examine operational approaches to manage citation and stop-reporting processes.
