Commissioners approve appointments, provider contracts and architecture study for local high school

Appointments: Commissioners approved Melissa Fitzgerald, Eric Milquist and Regina Capello to serve on the County Human Services sick bank committee, with terms effective Feb. 1 through Dec. 31, 2028. They also appointed Antoanette Lindell to serve as Warren County’s representative on the Northwest Commission board of directors and appointed Jennifer Alba to the Warren County Redevelopment Authority board, with Alba’s term to begin April 1, 2026 and run through Dec. 31, 2026.
Repository bid: The board accepted a repository bid of $500 for 115 Valley Park Drive, lot 4 in Sugar Grove Township; East Burke LLC was named the successful bidder and the motion carried.
Children and Youth Services: Commissioners authorized contracts with two new providers—Harmony Heights and Miracle Hearts (both located in Bethlehem, Pa.)—to allow payment for county children already placed there. They also approved the 2026 Children and Youth Services fee schedule, which staff said retains rates from 2025: subpoena testimony $42/hour, home evaluations $420 and court‑ordered adoption home studies $3,500.
School architecture study: The county awarded a planning contract for a Youngsville High School building transformation to the selected firm identified in the proposals (transcript references the firm as Larsson Carly/Larson Carly Associates). The award authorizes $58,500 for the firm to complete planning and preliminary cost estimates to inform an opt‑in/opt‑out lease decision.
