Mr. Hobbs, speaking at the special session, said the district must make findings under state contracting law to use CMGC for projects in the bond program and described the expected benefits: early constructability review, engagement of contractor expertise during design, potential cost savings and improved safety on occupied school sites. "We have a construction budget at Redland of $15.2 million," he said, and he gave budgets for the other projects: Gaffney Lane at $19.2 million, Beaver Creek at about $14.9 million and Pioneer Stadium at roughly $2.8 million.
