He said many recommended items are likely eligible for the state school-security grant to be applied for in the spring.
Board members asked how the district ensures staff understand and can implement the plans. Dr. Street described training led by SROs and law enforcement, principal-led training sessions at the start of the year, and scheduled post-drill reviews stored in a shared Google Drive to capture lessons and follow-up actions. "We make sure they're updated," he said, adding that SROs and administrators run drills and follow-up exercises.
