Board approves travel, bond authorization and a slate of resolutions; personnel report records an abstention

The board also approved a proclamation designating Holocaust Remembrance Days (corrected in the meeting to March 16–20, 2026), accepted a Honeywell investment-grade audit in the packet, and passed a resolution to authorize issuance of general obligation school bonds not to exceed $15 million to finance facilities projects including athletic-wing mechanical replacements and air-conditioning work. Kendra told the board the district retained its AAA rating after a Moody’s call in the time since the item was last tabled.
Other approved items included a resolution authorizing the sale of specified property, multiple teacher non-renewal notices for part-time and non-tenure staff as presented, rehire approvals for second- through fourth-year teachers for 2026–27, and the consent agenda covering IHSA membership, a campus landscaping bid, the athletic-wing HVAC modernization bid and acceptance of minutes and treasurer’s report. The personnel report passed after roll-call with at least one member recorded as abstaining.
