The Pavilion City Council recognized human-resources employee Carrie Spinson for 15 years of service at its March 17 meeting.
The council read a formal proclamation praising Spinson's role in expanding the human-resources function from a one-person operation into a five-person team, noting her service on the city's "Hope" employee-assistance committee and her work overseeing civil-service and merit-based hiring for police and fire. The mayor presented a commemorative iron butterfly and thanked Spinson for her service.
Spinson accepted the recognition and introduced members of the HR team, identifying Jeremy Jensen as the incoming HR director, Dwayne Moer as assistant HR director, and Diana Houston as payroll specialist. "I'm going to miss you all," Spinson said.
The council and staff exchanged personal thanks and wished Spinson well in retirement. No formal council action was required for the proclamation.
