GIPS approves architects and engineers for Gates addition and Gish planetarium renovation

Petsch also told the board that the Gates design work dates back several years and was previously put on hold for cost reasons; because portions of the prior design were completed the district expects a reduced fee burden on the current project as scope is revised. For the smaller-scope Gish planetarium renovation, Petsch said architectural and engineering work will be proportionally smaller but should follow the same master-contract path.
Motions to approve the architect for the Gates addition, the engineering services/letter of intent for Gates, and the architect for the Gish planetarium renovation were made and passed.
