Board members discussed possible emergency authorization to get the pool safe for the swim season and suggested routine regrout every few years if wear recurs.
Trail markings and motorized vehicles: Board members discussed ways to make the Blue River Trail easier to locate in calls for assistance — options included painting narrow cross‑trail color bands, using a small palette of colors to mark sections or painting numbers for numbered segments. Staff said they are researching templates and paint approaches and will inspect the trail to identify areas needing reseal or repair.
The board also addressed social‑media complaints about golf carts and motorized vehicles on the trail, noting two local ordinances that pertain to the Blue River Trail and that golf carts are currently allowed only on the SDI bridge-to‑Kroger section. Members discussed e‑bike classifications (class‑1 allowed) and agreed to prepare clearer signage and consider ordinance amendments if necessary. Staff will draft signs for review and report back at the next meeting.
