During its March 26 meeting, Scott County Fiscal Court approved a series of routine administrative and community items.
The court appointed Cara Oliver as temporary court clerk for the meeting. Members approved the minutes from the prior meeting, accepted treasurer Michelle Ray's transfers and approved bills and routine items by voice vote. The court approved three EMS new hires presented by staff, which staff said bring the department back toward full staffing.
The court also renewed a mutual-aid agreement for the county27s fire department and directed staff to submit a short-notice letter requesting congressionally directed spending for airport fire-suppression infrastructure (including water-line and hydrant work) on behalf of the fiscal court. A magistrate announced a ribbon-cutting for a satellite library office in Stamping Ground next Thursday.
Next steps: staff will finalize hiring paperwork, send the congressionally directed spending letter before the stated deadline, and publicize the library opening.
